With Samba being the next dance in the Level (1) Course, and coming up soon in the STEP and Bronze Medal Programs, I thought a quick look at how Samba might be danced in a social setting might be useful.

Dancers are such well rounded people. Not only can he dance (!) but came very close to destroying James T. Kirk! ("Wraith of Khan" for all you non-Trekkers ;)

Monthly Social This Saturday

The July Social dance at the Studio is this Saturday the 17th.

Cold soft drinks and nibbles supplied. If you want to bring a plate that's great, and any thing stronger to drink that's up to you.

Friends and casual dancers welcome - only $5 at the door.

Winter Warmers!

Getting out of the house on this cold -and sometimes rainy - nights to go to class is sometimes a challenge! Thanks to everyone for making the effort!

Another way to say "thanks", especially when you go out of your way to introduce a new dancer, is with a Winter Warmer Bonus.

Every time you introduce a new dancer to the Studio you already receive 2 Bonus Points on your DanceCard.

For the August Course, in addition to the above, you'll receive a Bonus $25 discount off your normal Course fee for EVERY new dancer you introduce! Yes, EVERY new dancer.

4 Week STEP Courses

Coming up soon are the round of Style & Technique Extension Programs (STEP).

Each STEP focusses on a single dance style for four (4) weeks, and provides you with a visually exciting routine and some great figures.

The next three (3) STEP are:

Samba - Wed July 21st; and

Viennese Waltz - Sat 7th August

Jive - Wed August 8th

Bronze Medal

The Australian Dance Industry Association offers a range of recognition programs for many dance styles at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.

The next three Bronze Medal courses will extend of the STEP schedule (above) with additional training and coaching.
